The Palm Pre was finally released after much great anticipation. We too were on the waiting list for this new device that was all to buzz about. When Julie got the call that her precious Palm Pre came in, she rushed to the Sprint store and bought it. They first day was spent in amazement of the new savior of Palm. Then came the aftershock. They few good features of the phone were the new OS, the camera in the phone, and the screen resolution. Everything else on the phone was left to be desired. There were numerous annoyances and hype killers. The keyboard was cramped. Julie has tiny hands and she had problems texting from this phone. The OS was not intuitive enough. I spent so much time just trying to look for simple settings and menus. It took me 5 minutes just to make a call. The battery life was down right dismal. You'd get maybe 5 hours at the most on a full charge. Julie even went through two phones in one week. A few keys on her keyboard stopped working all of a sudden after the first day of light usage. This was ridiculous. I have a feeling that Sprint will be getting alot of returns on this phone. There probably wouldn't be much disappointment if there wasn't so much hype on this phone but, this is not even close to an iPhone killer. It maybe know more as the Palm killer later this year. I would not recommend this phone to anyone unless you like wasting your time. There are alot of better phones currently on the market and there are some sweet phones that are just about to hit the market. Julie decided that she has had enough of this phone and she exchanged it for a Palm Treo Pro. So far the Pro has been running like a champ. So learn from us and don't become victims of the infamous Hypebeast...
