"Look, Slick Shoes"

I'll preface this entry with a notice that I love shoes. I grew up and shopped around women my whole life. I could probably out shop most women. So there you go. This probably won't be my last blog about shoes. So get ready.

I picked up a pair of shoes today. I went in to exchange one pair for a different color but, somehow the guy did a damage out exchange and then a return. So I ended up with a $100 credit and a pair of shoes. There were some new shoes that I was planning on getting after I saved up some money but, then I had a $100 credit plus the guy gave me a 20% off coupon so, I got a pair of $160 shoes for $28, so beat that.

Nike Lunaracer

These are the shoes I went to exchange. I had a pair of the neon green but, I saw this colorway and I had to have them. The Nike store has the limited edition colors blue, red, and mean green. It uses the Lunarlite foam on the sole which is both super lightweight and highly responsive. The shoe only weighs 5.5 ounces. When you pick up the shoebox, it feels empty. It also has the Flywire technology to lock down your foot more into the shoe to prevent sliding during heavy activity. It's a super comfortable shoe and they look great too.

Nike Air Max+ 2009

These are the shoes that I've been waiting for this year. They just release on April 4th. They are the second generation of the Air Max 360's. They were able to remove the cage in the air unit underneath the shoe. This makes it more like the classic Air Maxes in 1995, 96, 97, 98, the golden years for Air Max. These remind me of my first pair of Air Maxes I bought. You can finally feel the air again. They purposely reduced the size of the air unit in the recent retro releases. I stopped really feeling the air in 1998. The Air Max 360's were nice but, the air unit felt a little boxy with the cage unit underneath. They were also able to add in the Nike+ feature in the shoe. I can now put my Nike+ unit in this shoe and hook it up with my iPod to track my runs and chart my progress. This shoe doesn't stop with just the air unit but, it also incorporates the Flywire technology into the shoe. This technology really locks your foot into the shoes. It almost feels like your shoes are laced up before, you even lace up your shoes. These are super comfy and I'll probably be wearing these in this week before I run in them.
